Similar to an unarmed combat build, a melee combat build forces the player to get up close and personal with their enemies. The weapons not only have high stats and perform well on their own but when they are paired with the Hardcore Mode combat builds in Fallout: New Vegas, they streamline the benefits provided from the builds themselves. Some of these builds, however, have the potential to be more effective with certain weapons at a player's disposal. There are Hardcore Mode builds that players can create in their playthrough. For those searching for more of a challenge, the Hardcore Mode provides even more difficulty as well as satisfying gameplay for players.
